Financial calculations are NOT stored
Your financial calculations are completely private. All calculations on UK Calculator (tax, mortgage, stamp duty, savings) are performed locally in your browser using JavaScript:
- Your calculation inputs are never transmitted to our servers
- Your calculation results are never saved in our database
- Your financial information never leaves your device
- We cannot see, access, or recover your calculations
How this works technically
You enter your financial information, your browser performs all calculations using JavaScript, and results are displayed instantly. If you refresh the page or close the tab, all inputs and results are cleared. No account is needed and we do not track individual calculation sessions.
What we DO collect
We collect anonymous analytics through Google Analytics — which calculator pages you visit, time on site, approximate (city-level) location, and device type. This is completely separate from your calculation inputs and cannot be linked to your financial information.
Third-party links
UK Calculator may contain links to external websites (e.g. gov.uk, HMRC, mortgage lenders). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these third-party sites.
When you click a third-party link, you leave UK Calculator and are subject to that site's privacy policy. We recommend reviewing their policies before providing personal information.
Children's privacy
UK Calculator is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal data to UK Calculator, contact us at info@ukcalculator.uk. We will delete such information within 30 days.
Changes to this privacy policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, services, or legal requirements. When we make material changes:
- We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
- For significant changes, we may display a notice on our homepage
- Continued use of UK Calculator after changes constitutes acceptance
